Ein Hauch von Amerika
In the early 1950s, the American military presence begins in a small West German region. In this context,
the story of friendship is told by two young women who try to find their place in this time of upheaval.
In doing so, they have to struggle again and again with the old order, the conservative forces from
politics, church and society. Also playing an important role is the love story with a black soldier, who
experiences freedom for the first time in Germany, but has to struggle with racist hostility.
BERLINALE SUMMER SPECIAL
After the successful launch of 10 EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS in February via an online Kick-Off Show, industry meetings and networking sessions with casting directors, agents and producers as well as interviews and public panels, EFP is delighted to announce a grand finale for 8 of the 10 actresses and actors. As part of the Berlinale Summer Screenings (1 - 20 June), they received a prize at the Shooting Stars Award Ceremony on 14 June.

SHOOTING STARS JURY MEMBER

The 24th edition of EFP's EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS will introduce 10 up-and-coming actors and actresses to press and industry during the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2021.
The jury consists of Kosovan director Antoneta Kastrati, American casting director Cassandra Han
and the producer René Ezra from Denmark.
